The ISE Awards are the benchmark for outstanding performance in early careers, recognising and rewarding excellence at the highest levels across a broad range of categories. In 2022, nearly 60 employers, universities and industry suppliers were shortlisted across 15 categories for their commitment to raising standards in student marketing, recruitment and development, as well as work experience and diversity.
We're incredibly proud to have won Best School Leaver and/or Apprenticeship Development Programme for our work with Novuna (previously Hitachi Capital).
'Gamechangers' is an end-to-end solution encompassing everything from outreach to onboarding, designed to expand Novuna's apprenticeship programme group-wide to attract talent from diverse backgrounds, while maximising their Apprenticeship Levy. Created in response to a commitment from the business to encourage greater inclusion and diversity, it was a key strategy for enhancing learning and development within their early careers scheme.
Over the course of the programme, Gamechangers engaged 1,100 young people and attracted over 270 applications. We selected 130 applicants for assessment days, achieving a 92% attendance rate, and 55 students took part in one-to-one mentoring with Novuna colleagues. At the end of the programme Novuna hired 11 apprentices. The programme has also previously been awarded Best Execution of a Partnership at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2021 and won a Silver Award for Best Apprenticeship Programme at the 2022 Learning Awards.
